During the course of Post 237's endeavors in 2025, a huge effort was planned and executed to spruce up our facility in anticipation of the upcoming 2026 Mid Winter Conference that would be attended by all Posts throughout the State of Alabama. Repairs, renovations, painting, and aesthetic upgrades to both our ballroom and canteen were completed throughout the year in time to open our doors to our fellow Legionaires, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders.
During the conference, our Post provided visitor information packets that had been prepared by our volunteers. Information for the conferees included information about the Huntsville area and of our Post. Post events and schedules were included. We provided transportation shuttle service to and from the conference hotel and our post throughout both evenings of the conference. Special entertainment was available including Karaoke in the Canteen on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a live band on Friday evening. Dinners were prepared including a steak or chicken dinner which were served to our guests by our volunteers while kitchen volunteers prepared the meals. The food was great and the entertainment was spectacular.
We are proud to say that Post 237's hospitality was received very well and many guests exclaimed how they really enjoyed being pampered by Post 237. We had huge crowds in both the ballroom and Canteen and everyone had a great time.
